| Okay, I have a question about the effect of Necroface.
I was wondering if Necroface was removed from play while either I or my opponent had less than 5 cards in our decks, what would happen?
Would the remaining cards be rfg'ed or would the effect fail to resolve? |

| Hey Celtic,
About Necroface:
Eff: When this card is Normal Summoned, shuffle all removed from play cards into their owner's Decks. This Card Gains 100 ATK for each of those cards. When this card is removed from play, both players remove from play the top 5 cards of their deck.
do u mean:
If you have 5 cards in your deck and your oponent has 4. If Necroface then get rfp it wil result in a draw because it says both players remove from play the top 5 cards of their deck (it doesnt depends if you have 5 and he 4 cards if the eff is both players remove 5 cards from their deck it will be a draw.
Can u tell me the full duel situation because its hard to understand what u mean. (because necroface can have alot of different situations in a duel) I specialized me in Fiend-Decks and know that if you play with Necroface it will turn the whole duel upside-down^^. (With Necroface u can lose/win or draw a duel. (the last one almost never happens and that is the one u mean i think) So Plz tell me more about the duel situation u where in.

| It would sound to me like necroface's effect should not activate, kind of how card destruction cannot activate if one of the players doesn't have 2 cards to discard HOWEVER, the consensus on the few forums that discuss this situation is that necroface's effect still activates, and the player with less than 5 cards removes as many cards as possible. However, that player will not lose the duel if he doesn't have enough cards to remove from play (a player loses if he fails to draw when required, not when he fails to remove from play). Exact same situation with the effect of Needle Worm, player puts as many cards as possibe (if has less than 5) from top of deck to grave, but duel goes on. On the other hand, morphing jar will result in a loss of the player with less than 5 cards, because it requires him/her to draw 5. If both players have less than 5, it's a draw regardless of how many cards each player has.
