YGO Championchip Series

As I've become keen on following YCS, I decided to make a post about YCS's in general as opposed to spamming the forum whenever a new YCS takes place.

This time: YCS providence took place, and winner was a Tengu Synchro deck (looked like a tengu plant from the final match discription).
2nd place was, take a deep breath, infernity O_O. Some rumors are spreading around that he cheated lol, but I don't buy them.
A frog monarch deck also made it to top 4 for another surprise to me.
The decks in top 32 had tons and tons of Tengu decks (which really only means a deck that has Tengu so it can be anything). I repeat my shout: Tengu for semi limited next format???

Yeah, if malicious was semied then tengu will be too... Thing is Konami is taking pretty much all the fun away with all these rules and banlist that doesnt fix the whole thing for sure.

I hate tengu decks SO much right now. Its just a total stall of a card. hey chem. Any idea if there any LS decks up high??

This is the 32 top decks and how they matched up. No LS drago, sorry. What did you say about tengu being a stall card? Tengu can be a stall card, but that's not even his main use. Tengu's best use is a self-recycling fodder for synchro's and tributes. As much as I love the card and try to fit it in all my decks, I believe it is bad for the game and would like it to be at semi (or even limited for the lulz).

Well tengu and the T.G. Libr will be hit by the next banlist for sure. Libr wil be banned. Tengu needs to at least be semi. This shows how 1 little card can be abused to such a point where decks are made around it.

Although it makes perfect sense for T.G. Hyper Idiot to be banned, Shonen Jump Magazine is putting it in as a subscription promo card. Now, and unfortunately, it doesn't make sense that a promo card this month will get banned 3 months later. Hence, the librarian might survive another ban list without actually being banned.

I'm pretty sure it will even if it is a promo card tat just came out. Reason being for this is: it is allowing so many decks to be able to OTK, FTK or instant win. When ANY card that comes out that allows any 1 of those they ban it. So I think it will be banned in the next banlist.

To be honest, i was all excited about looking at that infernity deck; however, now that i saw it i think his build is sub-par compared to current infernity builds (that's my opinion). He might have benefited from the 2 trishula's idk, but i don't like his build.
